Website Revamp
Coolpanda came to Deuex with an outdated, slow-loading website that no longer matched the business. I ran the engagement end to end as the primary client contact — daily standups to decide what the team worked on next, turning client requirements into clear, buildable inputs, guiding design direction, writing tickets for the developer, and reviewing every design and PR before it shipped. I pushed back and convinced the client directly when a request didn't hold up, and personally owned the technical call that kept the site fast on a free hosting tier.
Running the engagement, not just building it
As primary client contact, I ran daily standups to decide what the team worked on next and turned client asks into clear, buildable inputs — bridging what the client wanted with what was actually buildable, rather than passing that gap downstream. I guided design direction, wrote the tickets, and reviewed every design and PR before it shipped, pushing back and convincing the client directly when a request didn't hold up.
A motion-rich site, built for this client
The brief called for a site that felt alive, not another static template. I came up with the animation direction myself and built a responsive, pixel-perfect React site with custom Lottie animations designed specifically for Coolpanda — used deliberately across the hero, interactive moments, and scroll cues rather than dropped in as decoration.
Fast despite a free-tier host
An image-heavy, animation-rich site is a bad match for a free-tier Render account unless the images stop being the bottleneck. I offloaded the site's images to Cloudinary CDN — served resized and compressed at the edge — so load times stayed fast while avoiding a hosting upgrade. Moving the site to Render also eliminated the hosting cost the client had been paying for their legacy site. I handled deployment end to end: shipped to Render, configured DNS, and managed client communication throughout.
